Why their receipt starts on Connect
It's Jobber's cheapest plan with Xero sync, time tracking, checklists and automatic invoice follow-ups, which are all on OnPoint's one plan.1 Core is for one user and has none of them.1,4 Grow adds two-way texting, optional quote lines and job costing. Plus, for bigger teams, is $499 a month for 5 users, month to month.1
Dollars, not pounds
Jobber lists its plans in US dollars,1,6 so what you pay in pounds moves with the exchange rate, and your bank may charge for paying in another currency. We haven't converted anything. The last line of their receipt is the rate a pound would have to beat for Jobber to cost less.
Tax, terms and their offer
Their prices exclude sales tax where applicable.1,14 Their site doesn't say how UK VAT is handled; if it's added, a VAT-registered business can usually reclaim it. OnPoint isn't VAT registered, so £19 is the total. When we checked, Jobber was offering new customers up to 40% off for the first 3 or 12 months, until 30 September 2026. The receipt shows the standard price that follows.1
Where Jobber is the better choice.
Jobber is a good product. If these matter more to you than UK certificates, it may be the better buy, and we'd rather you knew that now.

It's much bigger, and it's been around much longer.
Jobber's home page says over 400,000 service pros trust it and more than 92 million jobs have been completed with it.3 OnPoint is a young company and a small fraction of that size.

Marketing tools you can add on.
Every Jobber plan includes a website builder. The Marketing Suite add-on, $99 a month, brings reviews, campaigns, referrals and social posting, and their help centre says it's available in Great Britain.1,4 The Receptionist add-on, $29 a month, answers calls and texts around the clock on a Jobber phone number, which they offer in the UK.1,15 OnPoint has an enquiry form for the website you already have and review requests you send by hand, but no website builder, social posting or answering service.

On Connect and up, Jobber syncs with QuickBooks Online and Xero and connects to 7,000+ apps through Zapier, and its app marketplace lists 100+ tools.1 OnPoint syncs with Xero only. It has an API and webhooks that Zapier and Make can use through their webhook tools, but no app in the Zapier directory.

GPS tracking of the team.
Route optimisation and GPS tracking come with Connect and up.1 OnPoint plans routes too, one engineer's day at a time, and its team map shows where each person was last seen, on the way to a job or finishing one. It doesn't track them in between.
Where OnPoint is the better choice.
The differences that matter if you work in the UK: the paperwork your trade has to issue, the tax on your invoices, and the currency on your bill.

When a certificate has a next inspection date, it lands in Renewals and your customer gets a Certificate Expiry Reminder email 30 days before it's due. It's on by default and you can change the days, and you can switch on a text as well. Landlords stop slipping through, without you keeping a spreadsheet of dates.

CIS and reverse charge, on the invoice.
Tag each line as labour or materials and the invoice shows the CIS your customer deducts, from the labour only. Switch on the reverse charge and it prints the VAT domestic reverse charge notice and shows the VAT as a memo instead of charging it. Pay a subcontractor and OnPoint works out the CIS withheld too, then each tax month adds up the figures for your CIS return and makes their payment and deduction statements. You still file the return with HMRC yourself.

Is OnPoint cheaper than Jobber?
For one person, OnPoint is £19 a month with every feature, in pounds. Jobber lists its plans in US dollars: Core is $49 a month for one user, or $29 billed yearly, and Connect, their cheapest plan with Xero sync, time tracking and checklists, is $139. We don't convert currencies, so here's the test: Jobber would only cost less if a pound bought more than $1.52 for one person on Core billed yearly, or more than $2.06 on Connect at any team size they publish a price for. Compare those with today's rate.
How much does Jobber cost in the UK?
Jobber publishes one set of prices, in US dollars. Month to month, Core is $49 a month for one user, Connect is $139 and Grow is $199. Paid yearly up front, they're $29, $99 and $149 a month. Bigger plans include 5, 10 or 15 users, extra users are $29 a month each, and prices exclude sales tax where applicable. We checked getjobber.com on 26 September 2026.
Does Jobber do gas safety certificates?
Their website doesn't advertise gas safety records, EICRs or other UK certificate forms. It has checklists on Connect and up: forms you build yourself with checkboxes, dropdowns, text, photos and a signature, emailed as a PDF. OnPoint has 62 UK certificate and record types built in, including the Landlord Gas Safety Record, which open with your Gas Safe registration.
Does Jobber work in the UK?
Yes. Jobber says it serves businesses in over 60 countries and lets you work in pounds. Jobber Payments is available in the UK at 1.4% + 20p a transaction, and two-way texting works in the UK on Grow and up. The subscription itself is priced in US dollars.
Does Jobber handle CIS and the domestic reverse charge?
Their site doesn't advertise either. Jobber's tax settings let you create named tax rates, such as VAT, and group them. OnPoint takes CIS off the labour on your invoices, prints the VAT domestic reverse charge notice, and works out the CIS withheld when you pay a subcontractor. Each tax month it adds up the figures for your CIS return and makes each subcontractor's payment and deduction statement. It doesn't file the return with HMRC; you still do that yourself.
Where is Jobber better than OnPoint?
Jobber is much bigger and has been around much longer. It has a website builder on every plan, a Marketing Suite and an AI receptionist as add-ons, two-way texting, GPS tracking, QuickBooks Online as well as Xero, a Zapier app and an app marketplace. OnPoint has none of those. Both have route planning, recurring jobs, automatic appointment reminders, quote follow-ups, optional lines on quotes, reports and an open API.
Does Jobber sync with Xero?
Yes, on Connect and up, along with QuickBooks Online. OnPoint syncs with Xero on its one plan: invoices go over with their customers and payments, and payments recorded in Xero come back.
Can I move from Jobber to OnPoint?
Yes. Export your client list from Jobber as a CSV (their help centre shows how), then use Import from a spreadsheet in OnPoint: match your columns and it skips anyone already there. Or send us the file and we'll import it for you, free. Certificates start fresh in OnPoint once you add your registration. If you're on a Jobber yearly plan, it's paid up front and non-refundable, so start your OnPoint trial near your renewal date.
Is there a contract?
OnPoint is month to month, with no notice period and no exit fee, or you can pay yearly and get 2 months free. Jobber offers month to month too, or a 1 year commitment billed monthly, or a year paid up front. Their yearly payment is non-refundable, and their subscriptions renew automatically unless set not to.
Do they both have a free trial?
Yes, both are 14 days with no card. Jobber's trial runs on its Grow plan, and its help centre says UK card payments and two-way texting aren't available during the trial. OnPoint's 14 day trial opens every feature, with a limit on how much you can make during the trial.
What's the best Jobber alternative for UK trades?
It depends on your work. If you issue gas, electrical, oil, fire or renewables certificates, or work under CIS, OnPoint is built for that, at £19 a month in pounds. If you mostly need a website, marketing add-ons, two-way texting and lots of integrations, and don't issue certificates, Jobber may suit you better.
