What does OnPoint's AI do?
It does the typing between the job and the paperwork. Photograph a boiler's data plate or an analyser printout and the certificate fields fill in, each marked by how sure the read is. Talk through the job and it's written up as a visit report, with the parts you used and the parts you'd recommend picked out. It also rebuilds a paper form from a photo, and suggests the appliance behind a GC number.
Will it guess a serial number?
No. If the serial isn't clearly visible, it comes back empty for you to type. Where the plate has a barcode, the serial is read from the code exactly. A GC number never fills the serial either, because it identifies the model, not the boiler in front of you.
How do I know which values to check?
Every field has its own mark: a green tick for high confidence, amber for verify, red for low confidence, and a grey dot where nothing was read. Nothing goes on the certificate until you press Apply to form, and you can change any value first.
Which records can scan an analyser?
Scan analyser is on the Landlord/Homeowner Gas Safety Record, the Gas Safety Record, the Gas Inspection Record, the Service/Maintenance/Breakdown Record, the leisure industry gas safety record, the two non-domestic records and the oil service and landlord records. The commercial catering record has a scan for the kitchen's CO₂ meter instead. It reads a photo of the printout or screen, not a Bluetooth link.
Which analyser readings does it fill in?
On the domestic gas records: the CO/CO₂ ratio, the CO₂ percentage and CO in ppm. O₂ never goes in the CO₂ box. The oil records take every figure the printout shows, and the non-domestic records ask for the manufacturer's limit.
How does it know low rate from high rate?
You tell it. Most analysers don't show which rate a reading is, so you pick Low rate or High rate before you scan. On Auto-detect, a reading that doesn't say goes under Low rate and it asks you to confirm.
Does the voice report make things up?
It's built to write up only what you said, and not to add parts, readings or advice you didn't mention. You can open What I said to see the transcript, and change the report before you save it. A part you recharged, cleaned or adjusted isn't listed as fitted.
Does it work with no signal?
The full plate and analyser reads need a connection, and so do voice notes. With no signal, the iPhone and Android app reads the photo on the phone instead, less accurately, with every value marked for you to check. A GC number's make is worked out from its digits with no signal at all.
Does a GC number fill in the appliance?
It suggests it. Type the GC number and OnPoint shows the make and model it matches, and nothing changes until you press Use this. It never touches the serial number. Where there's a match, the appliance record links to the manufacturer's installation manual.
Is it a chatbot?
