Tradify has been at this since 2013 and does things OnPoint doesn't. If one of these runs your week, it's a good reason to pick them. We'd rather say so here than after you've moved.

CIS and the reverse charge, on the invoice itself.
Mark an invoice for the domestic reverse charge and CIS, tag each line as labour or materials, and OnPoint shows the VAT as a memo, takes CIS off the labour only and prints the notices. Pay a subcontractor and it works out the CIS to withhold. Each tax month it adds up the figures for your CIS return and makes each subcontractor's payment and deduction statement. You still file the return with HMRC yourself.

04 · CERTIFICATES
Certificates that check themselves, and come back round.
As you fill a certificate in, OnPoint checks it against itself and flags problems before you send. You decide: nothing is ever blocked. When it has a next inspection date, the customer gets a reminder email 30 days before. All on the first £19.

Is OnPoint cheaper than Tradify?
Yes, at every team size on the prices each company publishes. On your own, OnPoint is £19 a month and Tradify is £37 on Pro, its cheapest plan with certificates, or £34 on Lite. Five people are £55 on OnPoint and £185 on Tradify Pro. Each extra person is £9 on OnPoint and £37 on Tradify Pro. Tradify says it has team and annual pricing if you ask; those prices aren't published.
How much does Tradify cost in the UK?
Tradify's UK pricing page lists three plans per user per month: Lite at £34, Pro at £37 and Plus at £44, plus a Custom plan for large teams by phone. Texts are 10p each and the Instant Website is £10 a month. Its help centre says it doesn't currently charge tax on subscriptions outside New Zealand and Australia. Checked on 26 September 2026.
Does either one add VAT?
No. OnPoint isn't VAT registered, so £19 is the total. Tradify's help centre says it doesn't currently charge tax on UK subscriptions, so its price is what you pay too.
Does Tradify work offline?
No. Tradify's help centre says its web app and mobile app both need a live internet connection. OnPoint saves jobs, customers, sites, certificates with their signatures and photos, job photos and clock-ins on the phone, and sends them when you're back in signal. Quotes and invoices need a connection.
Does Tradify do purchase orders and supplier bills?
Yes. On Plus, at £44 a user, you can raise purchase orders and send them to suppliers, and SmartRead reads a supplier bill from a photo. Bill tracking is on Pro. OnPoint has purchase orders, supplier bills and van and warehouse stock on its one plan, but you type each bill in and there are no live supplier prices. If snapping bills instead of typing them matters most, Tradify is the better fit.
Does Tradify work with Sage and QuickBooks?
Yes. Tradify syncs with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks Online on every plan. OnPoint syncs with Xero only: invoices, the customers on them and payments go over, and payments recorded in Xero come back.
Do Tradify and OnPoint both do oil, solar PV and EV certificates?
Yes. Tradify lists CD/10, CD/11, CD/12, CD/14 and TI/133D oil forms, solar PV certificates and the EV charger installation certificate, from Pro. OnPoint has five oil records matching the same OFTEC forms, which open with your OFTEC number, a Solar PV System Verification Certificate, and an EV Charging Point Installation Certificate, which needs your competent person scheme number.

Can Tradify do CIS and reverse charge invoices?
Tradify's help centre says it has no built-in reverse VAT or CIS options, and you need Xero or Sage linked to make those invoices. OnPoint puts the domestic reverse charge and CIS deductions on the invoice itself, and works out the CIS to withhold when you pay a subcontractor. Each tax month it adds up the figures for your CIS return and makes each subcontractor's payment and deduction statement. You still file the return on HMRC's CIS online service yourself.
Does OnPoint have recurring jobs like Tradify?
Yes. Tradify's recurring jobs are on Pro and create themselves on a schedule. OnPoint has service plans: set how often a visit comes round, from weekly to yearly or a custom gap, and OnPoint puts each visit in the diary ahead of time, or lists it for you to agree a day. A plan doesn't bill the customer; you invoice as usual. Certificates come round too: one with a next inspection date shows in Renewals, and the customer gets a reminder email 30 days before.
Does OnPoint do optional extras and quote follow-ups like Tradify?
Yes. Tradify has optional extras and automatic quote reminders from Pro. On an OnPoint quote you can add optional extras the customer ticks, or offer Good, Better and Best options they choose between when they accept. Switch on quote follow-ups and an unanswered quote is chased by email, and by text if you like, a set number of times, stopping as soon as they accept or decline.
Can I move from Tradify to OnPoint?
Yes. Export your customers from Tradify as a CSV file, then import them into OnPoint from a spreadsheet: add the file, match the columns, check and import. Or send us the file and we'll import it for you, free. Tradify's certificates don't export in bulk, so download the ones you need as PDFs. Tradify bills in arrears, so expect one last bill for the part of the month you used.
Is there a contract with either?
No. Both are month to month and you can cancel any time. Both also offer yearly plans: OnPoint's is 2 months free. Your first seat stays at £19 a month for as long as you're with us.
