Price, by a wide margin
£19 for the first seat and £9 for every seat after, against £34–£44 per user. One seat is £19 against £37 on Pro; five is £55 against £185; ten is £100 against £370. It is the largest single difference between the two products.
Everything on every plan
Tradify puts compliance certificates on Pro at £37 and its SmartRead and SmartWrite AI, purchase orders, bulk invoicing and reporting on Plus at £44. On OnPoint every feature is included from the first £19 seat — there is no higher tier.
The validation engine
67 rules across Gas Safe procedure and BS 7671 that block an invalid certificate before it's issued — a GC number contradicting the manufacturer, an unsafe appliance with no Danger Do Not Use notice, an EICR marked unsatisfactory with no C1, C2 or FI, measured Zs above the maximum, CPC below Table 54.7. Fully offline
A real sync queue, not a cache: a whole day of jobs, certificates, photos and signatures in a plant room with no signal, syncing when you're back. Tradify does not advertise offline working.
A customer portal
Certificates, renewals and quotes on one secure link, with certificate signing and a question thread on quotes so the customer doesn't email you. Not advertised on their site.
AI on the certificate itself
Appliance details read from a photo of the data plate with per-field confidence and a refusal to guess serial numbers, flue readings read from the analyser, spoken job reports turned into structured written ones, GC number and fault-code lookup. Tradify's AI reads supplier bills and helps write text, and sits on Plus.
The day, and the diary
Live engineer tracking with route ETA and ETA notifications to the customer, plus a public booking page with bookable services, slot holds, a standby list and a gap filler for holes in the diary. They advertise an enquiry form; the tracking, ETAs and self-service booking are not advertised.
Getting paid, and UK tax handling
Payment plans and instalments with saved cards, late-payment interest on configurable terms, and a bank feed that matches payments automatically. CIS deductions and the VAT domestic reverse charge are handled on quotes and invoices. They advertise progress invoicing; the rest is not advertised.
Subcontracting, fleet and multi-organisation
A partner network with job offers, a subcontractor portal for progress and evidence, completion proof, payout tracking and a hashed frozen dispute evidence pack. Plus a fleet register with DVLA vehicle lookup by registration, and several businesses run from one login. They advertise subcontractor scheduling; the rest is not advertised.

Pro is the fair comparison. Plus is where their AI sits.
Pro is Tradify's cheapest tier that includes compliance certificates. Both are shown so you can price whichever you'd actually need.
Tradify also offers Lite at £34, which does not include compliance certificates. Instant Website is £10 a month extra and SMS is 10p each. 01Which is cheaper?
OnPoint, at every team size. One seat is £19 against £37 on Tradify Pro, five is £55 against £185 and ten is £100 against £370. Additional seats are £9 on OnPoint rather than a full per-user price, so the gap widens with the team.
02Does OnPoint do oil, Solar PV or EV chargers?
No. OnPoint covers gas, electrical and hot water. Tradify covers the oil certificate family, Solar PV documentation and the EV charger installation certificate. If that work is part of your week, they support it and we don't.
03Can I raise purchase orders in OnPoint?
No. OnPoint tracks job costs and real margins, but it doesn't raise purchase orders or read supplier bills. Tradify does both, with kit bundles and bulk invoicing alongside. If materials ordering is a big part of your admin, that's a genuine reason to choose them.
04Which works better with no signal?
OnPoint. A whole day of jobs, certificates, photos and signatures can be completed offline on a real sync queue, with validation running on the device so a blocking issue is caught in the plant room. Tradify does not advertise offline working.
05Do I need Tradify's top plan?
Compliance certificates start at Pro (£37) and their SmartRead and SmartWrite AI, purchase orders, bulk invoicing and reporting start at Plus (£44). Lite at £34 has no certificates. On OnPoint everything is on the first £19 seat.
06Can I move my data across?
