Water hygiene software that walks the system with you.
Legionella risk assessments for homes and for bigger buildings, TMV service records and heating system water treatment records, filled in on your phone. OnPoint checks each assessment as you write it and brings the review round two years later.
OnPoint's checks1 to look at
The assessment records that stored hot water is not being heated to temperature, but no risk is identified.
Stored water should reach 60°C. An occupant has been recorded as more susceptible to infection, which raises what this answer means.
Add it to Identified Risks with what you would recommend.
HSG274 Part 2 / ACOP L8: control of legionella in hot and cold water systems
In the app you write the risk and what you recommend yourself. The checks never change an answer and never stop you issuing.

The assessment has an engineer signature and a customer signature. Whoever's in signs on your phone. Nobody in? Tap Send for signature and the agent gets an email or a text asking them to check and sign it from their link. You're told when they have. Tick the invoice under Also send and they get both in one email. No signal in the loft? It waits on your phone and goes once you're back in range.

The review comes round on its own
Review Due fills in two years from the assessment. Bring it forward for a higher-risk system and OnPoint keeps your date. Renewals lists every review coming up, and 30 days before, the customer gets an email saying their risk assessment is due for review, and a text too if you switch texts on. If you take online bookings for it, they pick a time from the email.

The non-domestic assessment counts the valves
The Non-Domestic Legionella Risk Assessment asks much the same questions of a bigger system, then whether it has shower valves and thermostatic mixing valves, and how many. The same checks read it as you go. At Elm Lodge, a care home across town, there are six mixing valves.

Then each valve gets its own line
The Thermostatic Mixing Valve Service Record puts the designated maximum you set for each outlet beside the temperature you measured, then the failsafe test and the result. OnPoint counts them at the foot and never decides what an outlet may reach. Put a cross in Failsafe with nothing beside it and it asks what the valve did. The record names the risk assessment it follows, and the next service comes round in six or twelve months, or on the date you set.

We're new. That works in your favour.
OnPoint is a young company, but real money already moves through it: the reading is live. Being small means three things for you.
You talk to the people who build it.
Ring or email and you get the team that makes OnPoint, not a call centre.
It gets better every week.
OnPoint is updated every week. Tell us which water hygiene record you still keep on paper and it goes on the list.

“The auto-renewal reminders for gas safety records pay for the subscription on their own. No more landlords slipping through. We added properties this year because we could actually handle the compliance.”
“Engineers used to come back at 5pm with stacks of paper job sheets. Now everything's signed on the phone before they leave the customer. Invoices go out the same day. The cash flow shift was instant.”
Four records, one switch.
Switch on Water hygiene in your organisation details and all four unlock. It's your own declaration, so there's no number to enter and nothing to wait for. Pick Water hygiene & legionella as your trade when you sign up and you can switch it on there. They sit together under Water hygiene whenever you start a new one.
Already Gas Safe registered? Your number opens the two risk assessments as well. Monthly temperature checks or flushing logs still on paper? Take a photo of the sheet and OnPoint builds it as a form you fill in on your phone, and its next due date can come round on Renewals too. Put the site on a service plan that repeats every month and each visit goes in the diary by itself.

Questions water hygiene firms ask us.
OnPoint is also built for plumbers, heating engineers and property maintenance teams.
What is OnPoint?
OnPoint is job management software for UK water hygiene and legionella businesses. It has domestic and non-domestic legionella risk assessments, a thermostatic mixing valve service record and a system cleanliness and water treatment record, checks on every risk assessment, review reminders, repeat visits on a service plan, quotes, the diary, invoices and card payments, in one app for iPhone, Android and the web.
Do I need a Gas Safe number?
No. Switch on Water hygiene in your organisation details and all four records unlock. It's your own declaration, with no number to enter. If you are Gas Safe registered as well, your Gas Safe number opens the two risk assessments too.
Which records does it have?
The Legionella Risk Assessment for homes and lets, the Non-Domestic Legionella Risk Assessment for every other building, the Thermostatic Mixing Valve Service Record and the System Cleanliness and Water Treatment Record. Each has room for photos, and the risk assessments have a customer signature.
Does it check my risk assessments?
It reads the answers as you go. Answer No to hot water heated to 60°C, hot above 50°C at the outlets, cold below 20°C at the outlets or in the tank, with nothing in Identified Risks, and it points that out, more firmly when someone at the property is more susceptible. It also flags a risk with no recommendation and a recommendation with no risk. It never changes an answer and never stops you issuing.
When is the review due?
Review Due fills in two years from the assessment, and you can bring it forward for a higher-risk system. Renewals lists every review coming up, and 30 days before, OnPoint emails the customer that their risk assessment is due for review. Switch on renewal texts and they get a text the same morning too. You can change how far ahead in your settings, or switch reminders off for a single assessment.
Can monthly monitoring visits book themselves?
Yes. Put the site on a service plan that repeats every month, or every three or six months, and OnPoint puts each visit in the diary ahead of time, four weeks by default, with the engineer and time you set. Rather agree a day first? Choose Remind me to book and each one waits on Due to book. When a visit is booked, the customer gets the usual confirmation by email. Plans don't bill: you invoice the visits as normal.
Can a letting agent get every assessment at once?
Yes. Everything you send them goes into their portal, grouped by property once there's more than one, and Download all gives them every certificate as one zip, for all their properties or just one.
Can I record TMV servicing?
Yes. The Thermostatic Mixing Valve Service Record lists every valve with the designated maximum you set for its outlet beside the temperature you measured, the failsafe test and the result, and counts passes, failures and failsafe failures at the foot. OnPoint doesn't decide what an outlet may reach: the verdict is yours. Next time, Bring forward valves copies the register with every reading left blank, and the next service comes round in six or twelve months, or on the date you set.
Can the customer sign from home?
Yes, on the risk assessments. Whoever is in signs on your phone, or tap Send for signature and they get an email or a text with a link to check and sign it. You're told when they have. Their signature confirms they have received the assessment and never changes it.
Does it work without signal?
Yes, for the work on site. Assessments, records, photos and signatures save on your phone, and a record you send waits and goes when you're back in range. Bringing forward last visit's valves needs a connection, and so do quotes and invoices.
Does it work with Xero?
Yes. OnPoint sends your contacts, invoices and payments to Xero, and payments you record in Xero come back to OnPoint.
How much does it cost?
£19 a month for one person, plus £9 a month for each extra person. Every feature is on that one plan. You get 14 days free with no card needed, and you can cancel any time.
I use Joblogic, Commusoft or BigChange. How does OnPoint compare?
We've put OnPoint side by side with each of them, feature by feature.
One price. Every answer is Yes.
£19 a month for you, and £9 a month for each person you add. No tiers and no add-ons, so a one-person water hygiene business and a team of ten get the same app.
14 days free, no card needed. Cancel any time.
