Twenty-three new certificates, service plans that book the next visit, and your whole team on one map.

Each registration you add opens the records that go with it, and an F-Gas number opens them for air conditioning firms that hold no other trade. Your MCS, BAFE and NICEIC branch numbers now print on the certificates they belong on, instead of being typed in each time. OnPoint prints these numbers as you enter them; it doesn't check them with the scheme, so they're yours to keep right.

Nine custom forms come built in: fire extinguisher service, fire risk assessment, RAMS, pest control visit, chimney sweep, water regulations inspection, solar thermal commissioning and service, biomass boiler service, and battery storage commissioning and service. Use them as they are or change them to suit. Eight of the nine carry a next-due date, so they come round on Renewals, and a custom form you build yourself can do the same.

EICs, domestic EICs and Minor Works certificates that still need notifying to building control are listed in one place, the overdue ones at the top, so a notification can't quietly miss its deadline. It only appears for businesses with an electrically qualified person, because it means nothing to anyone else.

New fire alarm and emergency lighting certificates cite the current editions: BS 5839-1:2025, BS 5839-6:2019+A1:2020 for dwellings, BS 5266-1:2025 and BS EN 1838:2024. Domestic systems use today's grades: A, C, D1, D2, F1 and F2.

Edition 4 becomes mandatory on 1 October 2026. A PAD11 test dated on or after that day is judged by it (limits set by installation volume and fuel, and a pipework-only retest), while anything dated earlier keeps the old rules. A guided tightness test walks you through it step by step, with an IGEM/G/11 unsafe situations checklist beside it. Where a figure comes from a table, it's suggested rather than filled in for you.

Work through a strength test, a tightness test and a purge on commercial pipework, with every step of the working shown so you can follow it. PAD12 links straight to it. Figures from the standard's tables are offered for you to check against your own copy, never filled in on your behalf.

Commercial gas records on PAD6, PAD8 and PAD13 now suggest a next inspection date of twelve months, following manufacturer and HSE guidance rather than a regulation, so they come round on Renewals. Legionella risk assessments on PAD19 and PAD22 carry a two-year review date. And a landlord gas record renewed up to two months early keeps its anniversary, as regulation 36(3) allows, instead of being flagged as more than twelve months out.

Starting from the last record now works on PAD6, PAD8, PAD12 and PAD13, on oil and on F-Gas, as it already did on domestic gas. When there's an earlier record for the address, tap Bring them across (Continue from it, on F-Gas) and the details that don't change between visits come with it, so you only fill in what you found today. Nothing measured is ever carried over, and F-Gas brings the earlier leak checks across as history you can read but not change.

August's analyser scan reaches further. PAD6 takes the whole combustion set (O₂, flue temperature, efficiency, excess air and draught), and PAD8 reads the CO₂ meter. On oil, one scan fills each burner's readings, though the smoke number is always yours to enter. On a non-domestic appliance, a ratio over 0.004 asks you to check it against the manufacturer's limit. Every value waits for you to confirm it.

Choose the refrigerant and enter the charge, and the record fills in its GWP and works out the tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. If the leak-check interval you've picked is longer than that tonnage allows, it tells you. The interval itself stays your call.

On every gas form, tapping a box on the certificate preview takes you straight to the field behind it, so fixing one value no longer means hunting through sections. And the prompt to save an appliance to the register now remembers when you've said not now.

Any engineer can save their own signature once and have it on every certificate they sign. Until now only someone allowed to manage the business could, so everyone else signed by hand on every job.

PAT retests show on Renewals now, and so do EICRs and emergency lighting periodic inspections, which were never picked up before. Each comes round on its next inspection date, just like a gas safety record.

When a customer has gone elsewhere or the property has been sold, switch that one certificate's renewal reminder off. Every other reminder carries on as normal.

If you take bookings through your portal and a bookable service is set to renew that kind of certificate, the renewal reminder carries a link for the customer to book the visit themselves, by email or by text, in a slot that fits your diary. No phone tag to get the renewal in.

Renewal reminders can go out by text as well as by email. It starts switched off, so nobody gets a text you didn't mean to send.

The calendar has a week view: seven days on a time grid, with multi-day jobs, untimed jobs and reminders in a row across the top, and someone's leave shaded when you're looking at their diary. On a phone it shows the whole week, held upright or turned sideways. Drag across the grid with a mouse or trackpad to create a job.

When a customer books online or reports a repair from their portal, an amber count (3 to confirm, say) shows at the top of the calendar, whichever view you're on, until you've dealt with it, and takes you straight to what's waiting. It's only there while something is. The dashboard, the sidebar and the list now all count the same bookings, where before the dashboard could say three were waiting and the list could say none.

Customers can get a reminder the day before their visit, by email, text or both, sent at 5pm unless you pick another time. It gives the date, the time or arrival window, who's coming and the address, with a link to their portal, and each one is logged on the job. A text is never sent after 9pm; a late one goes by email only, if you send by email too.

When you move a visit's date, time or arrival window, you're asked whether to email or text the customer, and the site contact if there is one. It's a prompt, not an automatic message, so you can skip it when you've already rung them.

An appointment can carry two conditions (Awaiting parts and Landlord job, say), and its card on the calendar shows both colours flowing into each other rather than mixed into one. The first condition is still the one reports and filters go by.

A job that runs over several days now leaves out Saturday and Sunday unless you tick Work through the weekend, and the clash and leave checks follow the same days. On the Projects board, a job still in progress reads Under way after its first day, not Done.

The standby list now finds out about a free slot however it opens: a visit deleted or moved in the office, a customer rescheduling from their portal, or a change made with no signal once it syncs.

A job's Activity tab records far more of its life: online bookings, confirmations and declines, customer cancellations and reschedules, On my way, pausing and resuming, and reopening. It's a fuller answer when someone asks what happened with a job.

Switch it on and a customer who hasn't answered a quote gets a reminder three days after it was sent and another four days later, at most twice by default. You can change all of it, with a text as well if you like. It stops the moment the quote is accepted, declined or converted, never touches a quote more than 90 days old, and shows on the Chasing screen so you can see who's next.

From a visit report, draft a quote with a line for each piece of recommended work. A line is priced only where your price list clearly matches; anything else is marked Needs a price rather than guessed. The report's photos, marked-up ones included, can go on the quote too.

Also send adds a customer's other unsent documents from the last 30 days (a certificate, an invoice, a quote) to the same email, so they get one message instead of three. Nothing is ticked for you. Signing a certificate now offers to raise the invoice there and then, and a certificate sent with no signal waits and goes once you're back online.

Quote and invoice emails are tracked. If one bounces or is marked as spam, the list shows it, and the quote, invoice or appointment gets a banner with Send again, so you find out it never arrived before the customer tells you.

Recording a payment now has Refund alongside Payment, Write off and On account. A refund comes off what's been paid and shows on the invoice, its PDF and the customer's portal, and a fully refunded invoice is never chased, marked overdue or charged interest. A refund or a lost dispute in your Stripe dashboard is picked up and recorded against the invoice for you.

Record money a customer pays before any invoice exists (a deposit, say) from their contact record, then apply it to an invoice later. It prints as its own Credit on account line on the invoice, the PDF and the portal, instead of the old workaround of a paid invoice for nothing.

August's late-payment interest can now be added with one press (Add £X to the invoice) rather than worked out by hand. Interest starts the day after the due date instead of on it, and the statutory rate uses the Bank of England rate for when the invoice went late. It's still off unless you turn it on.

An invoice on an instalment plan is no longer flagged overdue just because the full total isn't in. It's flagged only when a plan payment is actually late. Customers get one reminder per instalment with a link to pay, month-end dates are handled properly, and a card on auto-charge can no longer be charged twice.

Far more of what happens in OnPoint reaches Xero: write-offs as credit notes, refunds, applied credit, overpayments, interest as its own invoice, payment plan instalments, and payments you edit or delete, which are corrected there too. A deleted invoice is voided in Xero, a sent invoice is approved there with its real due date, and nothing can be pushed twice.

Choose per role, or per person, what happens outside someone's shift: nothing, hide sensitive details, or lock the app. Off shift follows either their clock-ins or their working hours, and approved leave counts. Someone locked out can ask for an hour, which lets whoever approves it know, and still sees the time and postcode of their next job. The owner is never locked out, and it's off until you turn it on.

Limit how far ahead someone can see their work: everything, today only, or the next few jobs. Today's jobs open when they clock in and stay open until midnight, and jobs they created themselves always stay visible. The limit reaches everywhere a job could slip through, including the calendar feed, notifications and team chat.

Turn off View customer phone numbers and emails for a role, and its people see phone numbers and email addresses as Hidden, on screen and on PDFs, with the call, email and copy buttons gone. Addresses stay visible, since they still need to get there, and anything they send can only go to details already on file.

A new booking, a payment, an accepted quote, a repair request, a holiday to approve, someone asking for an hour off shift lock: it all lands in one inbox under the bell, with an alert at the top of the screen as it arrives. You're only told about things you're allowed to open.

Holidays opens on the requests waiting for you, each showing the jobs booked on those days, who else is off, and how many days they'd have left. Approve or decline right there, with a reason if you decline, which the person is told. Only working days now come off an allowance, where weekends used to be charged too, and only annual leave counts, so a sick day no longer eats into someone's holiday. The holiday year can start in whichever month yours does.

Fleet opens on one list of what's coming up (MOTs, tax, insurance and booked MOTs, overdue first), each with the one thing to do next: book the MOT, tax it, or mark it passed. A van under three years old shows its first MOT due on its third birthday instead of "No MOT data", and an MOT passed early keeps its old renewal date, as the real rule does. Amber means due soon and red means overdue, rather than everything within a month turning red. And if the DVLA look-up fails, you can still add the vehicle by hand.

A customer with two or more properties now chooses which one they mean when they book a visit or report a repair, and the booking lands on that property's address instead of their own.

Visits you've outsourced now appear in the customer's appointments, marked Subcontractor, so they know someone's coming. They see the date, the time or arrival window, whether it's booked or done, and the partner's name, but never prices, notes or contact details.

Customers can download all their certificates as one zip from their portal, grouped by property, or just one property's worth. Certificates you hold on file rather than as a PDF are listed as not included, so nothing goes missing without a word.

Put an enquiry form on your own website, or share it as a link from Facebook or your Google profile. Every enquiry lands under Pending in Contacts, and the person gets an automatic reply saying you've got it, which you can turn off.

If you pay subcontractors under CIS, each tax month is added up for you, with a payment and deduction statement for every subcontractor to download or email as a PDF. Export it, file it on HMRC's service, then mark the month filed (nil months included), and whoever files CIS is reminded between the 12th and the 19th if a month is still open.

Create API keys with only the access they need (read and write for contacts, sites and appointments; read-only for quotes, invoices, payments and certificates), and subscribe to webhooks such as quote accepted, invoice paid, payment received and certificate issued. Tools like Zapier and Make can listen for those webhooks, which opens up most of the rest.

Every section is where you'd look for it, in the order you're used to, but related pages now sit together in groups you can fold away: Contacts, Sites, Appliances and Service plans under Customers; My time, Timesheets, Holidays and Fleet under Team; and the calendar's Day, Week, List and Map views under Calendar. Team chat and the notifications bell sit together at the foot, beside your account.

Type what you're trying to do (change the invoice footer, turn on day-before reminders) into the How do I…? box in Organisation settings, and it tells you where that setting lives and points to it on screen.

Outsourcing has been rebuilt from the ground up on the same design as quotes and appointments, so sending work out and taking it in feels like the rest of OnPoint. A project can outsource a task straight from its board, and outsourced work can be invoiced to the customer from the job.

Products have a type, a unit and a category, and old ones can be archived rather than deleted. It also fixes a real problem: products at 0% or 5% VAT were going onto quotes and invoices at 20%. They now keep their own rate.

Your account has been rebuilt, and changing your email there now changes the email you sign in with. When you send us feedback, you can attach up to five screenshots, so we can see exactly what you're seeing.

Directions asks which maps app to open (Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps on an iPhone) and offers to start live tracking for the customer as you set off.

Take a contactless card payment on site, on your own iPhone, with no card reader. It settles into the same ledger as an online payment. Apple has approved it for OnPoint, so it arrives with the next App Store update.

Photos you take on a job (for reports, certificates and appliances) will carry on uploading after you lock the phone or switch apps, with progress on the Lock Screen on iPhone and in a notification on Android. It's built into the app itself, so it arrives with the next App Store and Google Play update rather than instantly.

Your OnPoint jobs in Google Calendar or Outlook, with changes made there coming back into OnPoint. It's built, and we're finishing the Google and Microsoft side before switching it on for everyone. Until then, the calendar feed you can subscribe to works as it always has.

The texts OnPoint sends (reminders, follow-ups, notices) still go one way. When a customer replies, it goes nowhere anyone in the business can see it. We're building one place where those replies sit against the customer's record, next to their jobs, certificates and invoices.

Put the code the appliance is showing next to its GC number and get back what it means on that specific boiler. Not a generic list, because the same code means different things on different makes. The lookup is written; it needs its reference library before it can answer anything useful, so it isn't switched on yet.
